Look who turned one! 🎂🎉🎈

Hey, this is WIOH again! We just had our one year birthday.
We had a party, with cake and a small fireworks show after.
Well…
Actually, we didn’t. But it makes for a good story.
We really just looked up and remembered last July we got our legal paperwork to broadcast.
Who are we, if you’re asking?
We are a low power radio station, 95.9 FM. We cover most of Clinton County, with some overlap ‘across the borders’.
We have local news, community announcements, and up to date weather twice an hour.
We do not (and can not legally) run commercials, although we will cheerfully accept donations and underwriting for programs.
We also play music. Lots of music. The corporate stations have short 20 song playlists picked by focus groups because the suits think that’s what you want. (how many times have you heard,”Hotel California”?)
We don’t wear suits.
We have a music library of almost 6,000 files and we play 300-400 songs out of that library every day.
From the 60’s to 2000 or so – songs you remember, forgotten, or never heard before.
